THE PROGRAM
Facing important challenges of society, the economy and the environment are requiring the Construction and Materials industry to transform their production systems, improve the use and reuse of materials, greater energy efficiency, less impact on emissions and the incorporation of sensors and connectivity, both in the execution phase of the work and in the use of the infrastructures and buildings carried out. Likewise, other social challenges such as the difficulty for new generations to access housing, the aging of the population, or generational changes in their models of living and co-living open up new exploration vias and innovation for the sector.

The Digital Industry involves the adoption of advanced technologies to drive digital transformation in manufacturing and production processes. Some examples are the implementation of sensors and connected devices in the production chain (IoT), storing, processing and analyzing this data effectively to obtain relevant information (Big Data), the adoption of robots and automated systems that can improve the efficiency and accuracy in production and, in general, the implementation of robust cyber security measures to protect digital assets, data and production systems.
